​Senior Data Engineers – Remote & Hybrid (Argentina)​

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer based in Argentina to join a dynamic and growing international team. This role involves designing and developing robust data pipelines and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.​

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement data pipelines using tools like Dagster or Airflow for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from various sources.
  • Build and maintain data warehouse architecture on AWS, utilizing services such as S3, Redshift, EMR, Lambda Functions, Glue, and Athena.
  • Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to define, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and provide reliable, performant data solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data engineering best practices.​

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a data engineering role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Proven expertise with workflow management tools like Dagster or Airflow.
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud services related to data engineering, including S3, Redshift, EMR, Glue, and Athena.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.​

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.​
