Backend Developer (Node.js)

At 5411Hub, we’re on the lookout for a skilled Backend Developer specialized in Node.js to join our growing international team. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment, working on high-impact, scalable solutions where continuous improvement, clean code, and collaboration are at the core of everything we do.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Node.js, with occasional tasks in Java and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend solutions within the broader tech stack.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability and quality.
  • Automate build and deployment processes using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
  • Implement and maintain SocketCluster for real-time communication features.
  • Manage and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases to ensure performance and consistency.
  • Work on existing codebases, following established patterns and contributing to debugging and improvements.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across services.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across different environments.
  • Follow best practices in development, version control (Git), and deployment.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends in Node.js and software architecture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven, hands-on experience in Node.js, with additional experience in Java or Python.
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing and intermediate experience in integration testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
  • Experience with SocketCluster for real-time applications.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL database management.
  • Proficiency in Git and collaborative workflows (branching, PRs, merges).
  • Ability to maintain and adapt pre-existing codebases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written) is required to work with global teams.
  • Passion for clean code, scalability, and performance in production systems.
