At 5411 Hub, we are currently looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join a pharmaceutical laboratory in Chile, in a strategic leadership role focused on strengthening the organization’s information security posture, protecting critical assets, and supporting business continuity in a highly regulated environment.
About the role
We are seeking a senior cybersecurity leader with strong strategic vision, deep expertise in information security, and the ability to design and implement robust security frameworks across the organization. This role will be responsible for leading the company’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the protection of information assets, mitigating risks, and aligning security initiatives with business priorities.
The CISO will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong security culture across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Define and lead the company’s information security and cybersecurity strategy.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and frameworks across the organization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks affecting systems, infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, particularly in a regulated industry environment.
- Lead incident response planning, cybersecurity monitoring, and remediation initiatives.
- Oversee security architecture, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and data protection practices.
- Partner with IT, infrastructure, legal, compliance, and business teams to align security initiatives with operational and strategic needs.
- Promote security awareness and foster a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.
- Manage external vendors, security partners, audits, and strategic cybersecurity projects.
- Report on security posture, risks, incidents, and strategic priorities to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior cybersecurity or information security leadership roles such as CISO, Head of Information Security, Security Director, or similar.
- Strong background in designing and leading enterprise-wide information security and cyber risk strategies.
- Experience in regulated environments, ideally within pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or similarly complex industries.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, security operations, incident response, compliance, and data protection.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in complex organizations.
- Strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to balance business needs with security requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Based in Chile or available to work in a hybrid model.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical laboratories, healthcare organizations, or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of international security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, or similar.
- Experience leading security transformation, governance, or security maturity initiatives.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations, audit processes, and third-party risk management.
