Our client is a rapidly growing company within the travel and cruise industry, recognized for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving commercial excellence. As part of its continued expansion, the organization is seeking a strategic and results-driven sales leader to oversee its cruise sales operation, accelerate revenue growth, and build high-performing teams.

About the Role

The Cruise Sales Director will be responsible for leading the overall cruise sales strategy, managing sales teams, optimizing performance, and driving revenue growth across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of sales leadership, team development, operational excellence, and strategic planning within the cruise, travel, or hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s cruise sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales managers, team leaders, and cruise sales professionals.
  • Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity and conversion rates.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams within the cruise market.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership teams to support commercial initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to inform business decisions.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and account growth strategies.
  • Ensure sales processes, reporting structures, and operational best practices are effectively implemented.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and strategic partner meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales Leadership, Commercial Management, Revenue Management, or Business Development roles.
  • Previous experience within the cruise, travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Strong experience developing and executing commercial growth strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and business planning capabilities.
  • Experience managing sales operations, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading large cruise sales organizations or multi-site sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of cruise products, destinations, suppliers, and industry dynamics.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, sales enablement tools, and performance management systems.
  • Background in customer experience and retention strategies.
  • Existing relationships within the cruise and travel industry.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
