Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect – SAP IBP to lead the end-to-end integration strategy and design for SAP IBP and its ecosystem, including SAP Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC, formerly Ariba), S/4HANA, ECC, and third-party systems. This role combines technical depth in integration technologies with architectural oversight to ensure high-performing, scalable, and future-proof integration landscapes that support digital supply chain transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership
Define and govern enterprise-wide integration architecture for SAP IBP, SAP ECC and connected systems.
Develop and maintain integration standards, frameworks, and best practices in alignment with enterprise architecture.
Ensure architecture is scalable, secure, compliant, and supports long-term business goals.
Integration Design and Implementation
Design and oversee integrations between SAP IBP and SAP SCC (Supply Chain Collaboration), S/4HANA/ECC, APO, BW, SAC, Datasphere, and external partners or platforms.
Lead the configuration and use of integration technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, CI-DS, RTI, APIs, and legacy middleware (PI/PO).
Implement supplier collaboration workflows, order confirmations, forecast sharing, and ASN processing between IBP and SCC.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership
Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and functional teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to integration consultants and development teams.
Participate in enterprise planning and roadmap discussions to align integration initiatives with strategic goals.
Operational Excellence
Oversee the quality assurance of integration designs and implementations through review, validation, and testing support.
Lead problem resolution for complex integration issues in production and test environments.
Promote reusability, automation, and continuous improvement in integration development and operations.
Innovation and Thought Leadership
Stay current on SAP IBP, SCC, and broader SAP ecosystem roadmaps and best practices.
Explore new technologies and integration models such as API-led architecture and event-driven integrations to modernize and streamline supply chain connectivity.
Required Experience
12 or more years of experience in enterprise integration, including complex SAP environments.
5 or more years of SAP IBP integration experience.
Hands-on experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC / Ariba Network).
Experience with end-to-end supply chain process integrations including forecast, order, delivery, and confirmation flows.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
SAP certifications in IBP, Integration Suite, or Ariba/SCC are preferred.
Key Skills and Competencies
IBP Integration Expertise
Deep hands-on knowledge of SAP IBP integration tools such as CI-DS, IBP Add-On for ECC/S4, and Real-Time Integration (RTI).
Strong understanding of the IBP data model, master data types, planning areas, and integration points with external systems.
Experience with time-series and order-based planning data integrations.
SAP SCC Integration
Practical experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP SCC (Ariba Network) for supplier collaboration scenarios.
Ability to design and implement flows for order collaboration, forecast sharing, ASN (Advanced Shipping Notification), and confirmation processes.
Enterprise Integration Technologies
Proficiency in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration), SAP PI/PO, APIs (REST/OData), and middleware orchestration tools.
Strong knowledge of protocols including OData, RFC, ODBC, FTPS, HTTP, WebSocketRFC, and their application in enterprise interfaces.
Experience with event-based and real-time messaging architectures.
Back-End SAP Expertise
Familiarity with SAP ECC/S4 modules especially SD, MM, PP/DS and their integration relevance to IBP.
Experience integrating with APO CIF and handling master and transactional data flows.
Expertise with enhancement frameworks such as BADIs, user exits, and customer exits.
Analytics and Data Integration
Integration experience with SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Datasphere.
Familiarity with external data lakes and EDWs such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, and Amazon Redshift.
Understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and performance optimization for large-scale planning data.
Solution Architecture and Governance
Ability to develop high-level integration blueprints, solution designs, and governance frameworks.
Strong focus on security, scalability, maintainability, and data integrity.
Experience with API lifecycle management, versioning, monitoring, and error handling best practices.
Project and Leadership Skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and serve as the integration subject matter expert.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
Skilled in conducting training workshops, knowledge transfers, and solution walkthroughs with both technical and business teams.
