About the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA professional who thinks and operates like a Product Quality Owner.
This position is not limited to validating what was built. Instead, it focuses on ensuring the right product is built, with the right priorities, and released safely.
You will work in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve frequently. Success in this role requires:

Key Responsibilities
1) Product & Requirement Quality (Primary Focus)
- Review and challenge product requirements before development begins
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and edge cases
- Return poorly defined tickets for clarification
- Partner closely with Product to refine scope, acceptance criteria, and priorities
- Act as a quality gate before work enters Engineering
2) Release Ownership & Risk Management
- Own release readiness and quality decisions
- Block releases when risk exposure is too high
- Use AI tools to assess potential release risks and impact
- Define and execute release validation strategies
- Balance speed versus risk in a startup context
3) AI-First Test Automation (100%)
Testing in this role is AI-driven and business-flow oriented.
- All automated tests must be created using Claude Code
- Strong focus on End-to-End (E2E) testing
- Protect critical business workflows rather than building large volumes of isolated low-level tests
You will design and maintain automated E2E coverage for:
- Core user journeys
- Critical business flows
- Cross-system integrations
- High-risk scenarios and edge cases
4) Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Product to prioritize based on business risk and impact
- Push back when priorities introduce quality or delivery risk
- Provide structure when urgent or ad-hoc requests arise
- Act as a strong voice for focus, clarity, and realistic delivery timelines
5) System Understanding & Investigation
Documentation may be incomplete. The ability to explore and understand the system directly through code is essential.
- Investigate behavior in GitHub when requirements are unclear
- Use AI to analyze code, flows, and dependencies
- Identify hidden risks and impacted areas before releases
- Treat the codebase as the primary source of truth
Required Profile
Experience
- 6+ years of QA experience with Senior-level ownership
- Experience in startup or high-change environments
- Demonstrated track record of:
- Challenging requirements
- Blocking releases when necessary
- Driving quality decisions under pressure
- Ability to make pragmatic decisions under uncertainty, balancing speed, risk, and business impact
Product Mindset
- Strong user-impact and business-risk orientation
- Comfortable challenging Product or stakeholders when needed
- Excellent prioritization and trade-off decision skills
Automation & Technical Skills
- Strong experience in automated End-to-End testing
- Experience working with AI coding tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.)
- Ability to design multi-layer test strategies
- Adaptability to new frameworks or technology stacks
- Strong Jira knowledge (ticket quality, workflow management, prioritization)
- Comfortable using GitHub for code exploration, PR reviews, and release impact analysis
- Ability to leverage AI when documentation is incomplete
Communication
- Strong written and verbal English
- Clear, structured, and direct communication style
- Experience collaborating with US-based teams
